“Robins, Feast Before Flight”

Robins are our special friends here in the garden,

they arrive in Spring before this weeping crab has leaves

and they hop around and nest in the gardens all Spring and Summer,

through the many flowers comings and goings,

until this last feast of crab apples when they will head south for the long Winter.
