“Fog Below Cadillac Mountain, Acadia”

Original painting is oil paint on canvas, 24”w. x 8”h.

We had driven up Cadillac to watch the sunset,

but there were no parking spaces left,

so we began to drive down the mountain with all the other disappointed folks,

only to see the land fog racing to meet the sea fog,

at which point everyone just stopped driving to bear witness to this phenomenon.

Sometimes one just has to stop moving forward and just watch.
