Spending the day walking under tall trees,

reveling in the shade and the moss and the lichen that grow there,

and then near the end of the day you just feel the dark trees

parting to give you this glimpse of the brighter world,

a fairy tale told in light. 

Little Long Pond is at the foot of the mountain.
